Frequently Asked Questions
Which titanium grade is used for tubing?
Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V) is widely used for aerospace hydraulic tubing and bicycle frame tubing: stronger than commercially pure titanium and suited to tube drawing. Grade 2 is used where corrosion resistance and formability matter more than strength.
Is titanium tube seamless or welded?
Both exist. Laube supplies seamless tube and can also supply welded tube. Seamless tube has no weld seam and is used where a seam is not acceptable; welded tube is typically lower in cost.
