Laube Gains C-TPAT Certification

As a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the United States and other countries have initiated a new security measures designed to reduce the potential for terrorism.  As part of the newly created Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Boarder Protection (CBP) is the principal law enforcement agency responsible for protecting the U.S. borders from terrorist and other illegal activities.  C-TPAT (Custom Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) is a joint government-business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen overall supply chain and border security.  Through this initiative, Customs is asking businesses to ensure the integrity of their security practices and communicate their guidelines to their business partners within the supply chain.

LAUBE TECHNOLOGY has elected to support the government’s mission in protecting and securing the supply chain by becoming a member of C-TPAT.   As part of the requirements of joining C-TPAT, importers are required to assess their security practices and implement security procedures.  LAUBE TECHNOLOGY remains committed to the safety of its employees and adherence to governmental regulations through participation in the C-TPAT program. And because of that commitment we have become a certified partner in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program as of April, 2006.
